If you recall, last month I wrote Toledo, Garbage, Water and Toledo, Ohio: The Trash Town.
It now is evident that Toledo, Ohio will be experiencing a decline in its population as residents leave the City of Toledo over the trash issue.
To learn more about this, read the comment I placed in response to More Trash Talk by Chili Dog.

Amigo Roland,
Your comment on Chili Dog Blog is dutifully noted and comments added to :-)
As for your wishful option, sure easy for you to say ;-)
For the majority of us though, our major source of cash to escape from the idiotic politics of Toledo lies within our residences so were faced with a catch 22 :-(
Dave is correct. Most of us are stuck.
When I take back and look at the whole forest, I find it utterly symbolic that the biggest agenda item bantered about these days is trash.
HT and CD,
The suburbs are a viable option for some.
Roland,
Perhaps the lack of trash pick up so ably illustrated by Chili Dog is simply another in Toledo's attempts to become considered a "big city".
NYC for example, is often plagued by trash piled on the sidewalks. Locals there often complain that such displays attract vermin, whereas in Toledo the vermin appear to be the cause rather than the result.
Leaving Toledo ... been there, done that
