America's Highest Paid Government Workers

As has Lee A. Saunders, I have also heard something that he wrote in an article when he scribed, "I often hear from some politicians and pundits that government workers are overpaid."

Also within that article, Mr. Saunders wrote, "I agree with them when we're talking about individuals like Ron Packard. As America's highest paid teacher, Packard made more than $19 million between 2009 and 2013, almost all of it paid for by us -- the taxpayers."

Tell you what, rather than anything more from me, why don't you just go over and read the Saunders article yourself? Just go to the following embedded link to read:

The Minimum Wage, the American Economy, and U.S. Senator Al Franken

I recently saw a meme with which I so totally agree that I am reproducing it below:

Click on over to the following embedded link to Meet Al and from there you can explore the rest of that website of Al Franken, U.S. Senator, Minnesota.

Oh, and another meme regarding the minimum wage to which I wish to draw your attention is as follows:

As that meme clearly shows, the real dollar value and purchasing power of the American minimum wage has consistently and dramatically declined since 1968.

Samuel Wurzelbacher (aka "Joe the Plumber") Hypocrisy re: Doom and Gloom Assertions of "Socialist" Obama

When he first confronted then-Candidate for the President of the United States of America Barack Obama during a 2008 campaign appearance in Toledo, Ohio concerning the topic of taxation, Samuel Wurzelbacher was known simply as Joe the Plumber in the media.

Sam or Joe or whatever he is called became an outspoken opponent of President Obama, of the Democratic Party, of Obama Administration policies, of Democratic Party platform, and appeared to have become the "poster child" of the G.O.P. (aka the Republican Party) and of the Tea Party movement. Indeed, in 2012, Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher became the Republican nominee and candidate for the 9th Congressional District of Ohio.

Well, it appears as though Samuel Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber is now a beneficiary of the very same system and policies for which he became famous in his blasting criticism. Please click onto the embedded link to read:
The Washington Post, The Plum Line, Joe the Plumber gets a new job, by Greg Sargent, February 18, 2014.

Did you read it? Interesting stuff, eh?

Now, read this excerpt from an interesting article that was brought to my attention and sent to me in an e-mail:
Once again, it seems a hero has fallen. Much like my favorite governor, Sarah Palin, who suddenly decided to stop governor-ing. And my favorite almost-president, Donald Trump, who decided not to run for president so he could devote more time to tweeting nasty comments from atop his solid-gold toilet.
Come to think of it, even my favorite villain has been disappointing. People like Joe and Sarah and Donald promised me that Barack HUSSEIN Obama would turn America into an apocalyptic nightmare, with children sent to socialist reprogramming camps and people marrying cats and Christianity outlawed in favor of something terrorist-sounding.
But everything still looks pretty much the same. Nobody came for my guns, even though I stocked up and stored them in my official Joe the Plumber, Obama-proof gun cabinet.
Obamacare was supposed to send old people to death panels, but I see no sign of that. (I've been trying to get rid of Grandma for weeks, but she's still around, griping about Obama being a Muslim.)
The truth is, Obama's a far cry from perfect, but he's not the monster he was advertised to be. And I suppose you could make the reverse argument about Joe the Plumber — he seemed like a real anti-union hero, then life got in the way, he needed work and joined a union."

@fredlefebvre @1370wspd It doesn't help his case that his profile pic he looks like a pedophile.

MORE UPDATE STUFF as of midday February 11, 2014:
Well, it appears that now I cannot even write on the 1370 WSPD Twitter account anymore. I have been blocked, so I guess that perhaps Fred LeFebvre was not being completely honest when he wrote "@RolandHansen seriously roland u shouldn't be comcerned u can still tweet on station acct" as he wrote in the Twitter exchange mentioned in the verbal exchange above.
Last night, February 10, 2014,  while on Twitter, I got this message from Twitter regarding the 1370 WSPD @1370wspd Twitter account: "You have been blocked from following this account at the request of the user."
I cannot help but wonder why Clear Channel Communications, Inc. allows a paid employee and/or contracted employee to use the name of one of its affiliated radio stations (unless I am mistaken, as I undersand it, Toledo, Ohio 1370 WSPD-AM radio is owned by Clear Channel) for that employee's personal use. I am aghast that a major corporation such as Clear Channel Communications, Inc. and its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert W. Pittman, aka Bob Pittman, permits such a thing. Why is Fred LeFebvre not held accountable by 1370 WSPD-AM and by Clear Channel Communications for his actions and words, whether Fred LeFebvre is unprofessional or not? What kind of public relations or community relations programs and policies exist with Clear Channel and its CEO Bob Pittman?

I am frequently told that American Big Business is accountable, responsible, and responsive; and, that it has the same high standards for those in its employ. Furthermore, it has been asserted by some that no American Big Business Corporation will condone or accept inept, inefficient, unproductive employees or unethical employee behavior, especially if the employee in question raises doubts and questions about the propriety of that American Big Business Corporation. Should such misbehavior occur by anyone in its employ, it has been said the "bad" employee will be immediately terminated.

The rantings that Fred LeFebvre has posted on internet social networks such as SwampBubbles, Facebook, Twitter, etc. along with his 1370 WSPD-AM on-air performance causes me to question the preceding claims about American Big Business. At least in regards to Clear Channel Communications and 1370 WSPD and if that conglomerate is generally reflective of the operations of American Big Business, it certainly does not appear to me that there is any real accountability, responsibility, or responsivenes, let alone any true quality. It seems to me that the only thing of interest to all those who feed at the corporate trough is the greatest possible profit without regard to honesty, ethics, or consumers.

Jay Leno, Unions, Tonight, Goodbye, Obama.

First off, an excerpt:
"Jay Leno was born in New Rochelle, New York, on April 28, 1950. Beginning his stand-up career while in college, Leno moved to Los Angeles and wrote for television. He became guest host of The Tonight Show in 1987 and—when Johnny Carson retired in 1992—NBC chose Leno as his replacement."
Now, click over this-a-way to read the rest of the Jay Leno biography.

In January 2013, my wife Judy and I were in the audience of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. We were first and second in line to get into the taping that day, arriving very early to assure our place in line. It was a wonderful time. We got to shake hands with Jay Leno at the very opening of the show, being in front row seats on the floor aside and in front of the slide-out floor stage. Heck, Judy even received a complimentary face towel that is silk screen printed with the words, "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

Well, last night, Jay Leno retired (for the second time) from being the host of The Tonight Show. It is indisputable that Jay Leno is a pro-labor, pro-union guy. Indeed, this quoted excerpt from an article about the telecast of the last Tonight Show with Jay Leno on the internet pages of The Daily Beast "... Leno declared himself 'proud to say this is a union show' in a media universe ..." makes that abundently clear. I suggest you read the entire contents of that article, Jay Leno Cries It Out.

Another very interesting article that you may read is in the following embedded link;
TV'S JAY LENO HELPS BUST UNION BUSTERS By Jane Williams

The Tonight Show has a long and illustrious past, as may be read in a couple articles, one here in ‘The Tonight Show’: An Overview, and another here in Overview: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from about.com.

So, it appears to be a final goodbye from Jay Leno, that is, as far as The Tonight Show is concerned. Please take the time to read Review: Jay Leno Says Goodbye to ‘Tonight Show’ With Grace by Tim Mollow over at The Wrap.

I bid a fond farewell to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. -- Oh! The President of the United States of America, Barack Obama does as well, as you may read in the Times Union article, Obama sends good wishes to Jay Leno.

It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for The Tonight Show.
