Rather than scribing a stand-alone Roland Hansen Commentary in regards to the topic of Respect, the President of the United States of America, and Donald J Trump, I am placing below a copy and paste of some dialogue that has taken place on the Facebook walls of mine and a couple Facebook friends of mine, who just happen to be from my Whitmer Senior High School Class of 1965. 

I advise you upfront that it is a very long read; however, you may find it interesting in that it is a perfect example of my thoughts and the thinking of those who disagree with my perspective on the sublect of Donald J Trump,  Respect, and the President of the United States of America. 

(I apologize for any and all errors in the formatting of this blog entry. I copied dialogue directly from Facebook pages and the copies contained an extremely lot of hidden HTML commands, or whatever it's called, of which I am not sufficietly proficient in order to correct the overall appearance of text and images for the insertion into my blog.)

Roland Louis Hansen It is truly sad that anyone should support a publicly foul mouth in the highest elected office in the USA. Why you would condone such a thing is beyond my comprehension. Is this the role model you want for the impressionable children in our country, David Hayne?

David Hayne Roland Louis Hansen it’s the least our children face daily. If he speaks the truth from his heart is what I look for. Words are nothing. As a matter of fact I’m so happy that kids don’t have to starve due to carrots and lettuce for their school lunches now getting real satisfying food. I think you know where I stand on the previous so called administration.

Roland Louis Hansen Okay David Hayne, I understand your point. You believe it is acceptable for a President of the United States to publicly use foul language and that children should accept that behavior as appropriate.

David Hayne I have to qualify the school lunch issue. I’ve been told by several teachers in mi systems that they are no longer mandated to serve only certain types of food as before. I don’t know if this is nation wide or school by school policies.

And you were a police officer, if I recall correctly. Good role model, eh?

David Hayne Roland Louis Hansen a much better role model than we had. Me as a cop knew beyond a doubt who stood behind us and who wanted to crucify us— believe me it’s a sick feeling. His language means nothing compared to the big picture. The pride is returning even tho the generation has been brain washed. Using the SOB is almost ridiculously meaningless.

Roland Louis Hansen So, then, David Hayne, in your opinion as a police officer, it appears that you would encourage our children to use vulgarities, call other people names, belittke them, denigrate them and more all in order to be heard and to get their point across. Interesting. Shameful, but interesting.

Roland Louis Hansen Actually, in my opinion, David Hayne, you defending the public use of foul language by the highest elected office in the land and asserting that as a role model it is acceptable to expose children to such seems to be a terrible use of time.

Guess what. David did not like me doing that and he deleted what I posted. This went on and on and on. He consistently deletes anything and everything I post.

Gary Kurth Roland Louis Hansen You should be more cognizant of what our President says, than how he says it. Have you ever worked in the real world? How about out here with us former factory workers, or in the military, a job where people do not let off color words bother them as long as they can work and earn a living, and keep us safe. Where were you after June of 1965. I know where I was. I support my country and the oath I took has never been revoked. God bless America. To that, Gary Kurth responded to me with this message:

I followed up Gary's comment by posting a meme that is a commentary concerning being rude in relation to showing kindness. 

Gary responded to my meme with this comment:
" Well Roland Louis Hansen it looks like you have figured our your shortcomings. Stop being rude to the conservative folks who only want what the Constitution of the United States guarantees them. We have something to say, even though liberals do not like it, and try to keep us off "YOUR" university campuses, and out of the liberal media. I am not fooled, but you seem to be. How do you feel about universities telling conservative speakers they are not welcome? That is not only rude, gut possibly illegal since many are funded by my tax dollars. Think about all the times liberal speakers show up and espouse their unbelievable demands for entitlements. Who can tell them to be quiet? What a double standard. Wake up Roland, there are other people out in the United States who have an opinion, contrary to your rubbish."

The bottom line for me on the topic of dignity, intellect and propriety of words and actions by Donald J Trump is quite simple.
A public foul-mouthed President is despicable. I do not believe that this is the role model for America's children that we should want or desire. No one should want our children, or anyone of any age for that matter, to emulate this behavior.
The public use of foul language by the highest elected office in the land and the assertion by and from Trump supporters that it is acceptable to expose children to these words and behavior of Donald J Trump is abhorrent.

Jerry Campbell I'm with Bev, What in the hell does President Trump have to do with this? The downfall....if there really is one....has been initiated by people like you. And it started 8-9 years ago. Not since President Trump took office. When someone takes over any position and takes the necessary steps needed to correct the issues at hand, some people are going to be pissed off...like you! But, the majority of the people will back any changes that are needed. One thing he just did that I think was pretty clever, is the elimination of the healthcare penalty. Will the penalty really go away in 2019? The answer is really NO!! You can't change the current law! However, you can change the percentage rate for the penalty. And that's really what President Trump did. All he did was change the percentage rate for not have an ACA compliant health plan to 0%. That's how President Trump eliminated the fee for not having insurance. And the law is still in effect.

Unlike Trumpeteers, I do not believe the definitions of respect and morality include acceptance and advocacy of xenophobia, mocking persons with disabilities, belittling those who may be of Native American or of Mexican heritage, using vulgarities in a public forum, making references to the size of a person's hands or other body parts, making money by swindling others, encourages and incites others to violence, -- AND, oh, so much more.

How about out here with us former factory workers, or in the military, a job where people do not let off color words bother them as long as they can work and earn a living, and keep us safe. According to you liberals, our children and grandchildren are not allowed to say the Pledge of Allegiance in school any more. It did not hurt me or 99% of our age group. Stop being rude to the conservative folks who only want what the Constitution of the United States guarantees them. We have something to say, even though liberals do not like it, and try to keep us off "YOUR" university campuses, and out of the liberal media. I am not fooled, but you seem to be. Marianne Krosschell Gracey I have been practicing what I say. I see happiness and prosperity in our future. Respect for our country and President is a must. And it all starts at home. I did not disrespect any of our past presidents. I voted and made a change. Just as every four years it can be done. Not everyone will agree on everything. But a constant put down just causes animosity. There will always be a change. Hopefully for the better.
