Haven't you heard the latest in censorship? Are Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer really personas non grata? Is it a sign of the times? Are we to re-write history and novels to be politically correct?

I don't know that I'd call them "fascist bastards" per se, but I agree basically with the intent. If you want to say, "due to its sensitive historical nature, the (fill in the blank) school district does not feel comfortable teaching these books", at least that I could respect.

Good point. I agree that the descriptive language might have been a bit different than yours or mine. However, the overall sentiments expressed by the author reflected my own thoughts on the subject.

I recall an acquaintence of mine who used to write a regular monthly article in an organization newsletter: "The poison pen having written, moves on to write again."
