The 2009 municipal primary election in Toledo, Ohio is now history.
The candidates for Mayor of Toledo have been pared down to the two who will face off in the November general election. They are Michael Bell and Keith Wilkowski.
Wil kowski b mayor or wil the bell ring in?
Any nonflaming thoughts you may have regarding these two mayoral candidates are welcome here. Now, then, what's on your mind?

It is as all prior polling had indicated.
Although Bell coming in second to Wilkowski is testament to the power of money...
Some might argue that it was the power of the unions, but the unions do not have the numbers (anymore) to support that contention.
I did find the Free Press' mixed endorsement to be a bit curious though.., especially how Michael Miller arrived at his conclusion and subsequent endorsement...
;-)
Z,
This should prove to be an interesting election.
Indeed!!!
Roland,
I simply wonder about the voters of Toledo. Willkowski is a Democrat and Bell a lifelong Democrat who ran as an Independent. To me this makes them Democrat and Democrat-lite. Somehow this is not the "hope and change" that I would have looked for.
As for City Council, don't even get me started.
Ah, Tim, ya gotta love Toledo politics!
Now, then, in regards to the Toledo City Council candidates, what can ya say but "what is old is new again."
Recycling and family ties reign forever.
